Bjorn Rydhog | “New Day Coming”
Jerrett Franklin grew up in a small town. He moved…
Bjorn Rydhog came into our world with a pocketful of “Sunshine” and the feel-good indie folk of his debut EP, There’s a Light in Everything. Hailing from Malmö, Sweden, he has a habit of crafting uplifting, wondrous pieces ready to soundtrack our days and night – it’s fun, smile-inducing music that connects on a deeper level.
Together with producer Johan Sigerud (JRSS) and co-writer Olof Gråhamn, Rydhog has continued to take his melodic indie pop into an electronic and beat-based realm. Melancholic progressions are blended with a modern retro sound inspired by the Weeknd, Dua Lipa and the prominent Swedish pop scene. Their previous collaboration, the singles ‘Just to Be with You’, ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Alone’ and ‘Let’s Not Get Old’ have been spinning on the Swedish radio.
Bjorn Rydhog is back with a new single, “New Day Coming.”
“New Day Coming,” is a calm, chill, optimistic/synth filled track. This single definitely pulls a lot of influences from 80’s pop/alternative music, which is very refreshing. Bjorn’s vocals are put into the forefront here, which benefit the song greatly. This is one of those songs that would easily go on a relaxing/chill playlist. Jerrett Franklin grew up in a small town. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career. After writing for a few different artists in the area, he decided to branch out and give local music the spotlight. That is where the idea for Music On The Rox originated from. We are dedicated to shining a light on local music and giving a voice to those who aren’t being heard.
