Clark Beckham | “Bedrock”

Clark Beckham

Clark Beckham was born in Nashville, but grew up in White House, Tennessee. He also graduated from Lee University in with a degree in history. In an interview Beckham said that he originally wanted to audition for American Idol at 18 years old, when it came to Nashville, but said that it was not in line with God’s will at the time. He eventually finished as runner up on the 14th season of American Idol. We have previously reviewed his songs, “Luckiest Man,”“Run Away.“ and “Who Believes in Me.”

Clark Beckham is back with a powerful new single, “Bedrock.” This is a powerful song about coming together and basically loving one another. During these trying times, it is a message that deserves to be heard. Clark shows off his powerful vocals in “Bedrock.” His voice is perfectly complimented by the acoustic instrumentals and the ambient background. Below is what Clark Beckham had to say about his new single to Music Mayhem Magazine.

“I wanted to have a song on this album about loving people. We often hear that sentiment, but it seems we see more and more division and hostility every time we open Facebook or turn on the TV. I wrote this song with a beloved friend of mine who happens to have different beliefs than I do religiously and politically, however we find solid, common ground with “Bedrock”. The soul of this song is about loving people, like Jesus did, regardless of what they believe or who they vote for. That’s what this song is about: true, unconditional, god-like love for His people. All of them.”

Clark shows once again, what he is able to do as an artist. He incorporates powerful vocals and an even more powerful message to make a magical piece of art. With the success of his debut EP, his upcoming album, Light Year, is destined to top the charts when it releases on November 6th. Check out the new single below!
