Fortress | “Honestly”
Fortress is a Nashville based Gospel Group, formed in January 2016. Fortress is made up of vocalists RJ Henderson (Lead), Christine Smith (Soprano), and Adam Elrod (Tenor). The group has recorded three albums, and even achieved their first Top 40 song in the nation with “Love Changes Everything.”
“Honestly,” is a wonderful example of Christian Contemporary Music. This song has a powerful message and delivers it beautifully. The instrumentals are complimented by the vocals. RJ’s voice is very strong. At lead vocals, he shows off his range and it seems effortless. His upper register is very impressive as well. Once the song gets going and Christine and Adam come in with the harmonies, that is when musical magic happens. If you have read my other reviews, you know that harmonies are my favorite part of music. The entire group is insanely talented.
If you are a Gospel Music fan, you should have this one on repeat. Their voices and harmonies will keep you enthralled in the song. With this release, they have shown that they are a force to be reckoned with. “Honestly,” is available on all major streaming platforms. Check it out below!
