Selena Gomez released her latest dance track “Single Soon” on Thursday, and in the song, she leaves no doubt that she’s embracing her single status and ready to mingle. Check out the full music video below!
“I’m picking out this dress/ Trying on these shoes/ ‘Cause I’ll be single soon/ I’ll be single soon,” Gomez, 31, sings on the upbeat song.
Announcing the track last week, the founder of Rare Beauty, Selena Gomez, shared with her fans that while she’s still in the process of completing her upcoming solo album (referred to as SG3), she wanted to release a playful song she had written a while ago that perfectly captures the end-of-summer vibe.
After dropping Rare in 2020, Gomez followed up the album with her Spanish-language record Revelación, which earned a Best Latin Pop Album nomination at the 2022 Grammys.
Although Selena Gomez hasn’t released a solo album since then, the actress from “Only Murders in the Building” joined forces with Rema last year for their chart-topping hit “Calm Down,” which has recently achieved a triple-platinum status.
“The theme generally is freedom — freedom from relationships, freedom from darkness,” she added. “If I had my way, I would probably write ballads my whole life, but I want to produce music that will make people smile.”
