Highway Women | “Shake The Dust”

We previously reviewed Highway Women back in January with “God Made Me Right.” At the time of this article, it has over 53,000 streams on Spotify alone. Their biggest release is still “Highwayman,” with over 86,000 streams on Spotify.
The Highway Women are back with their new single, “Shake the Dust.” Just like with their previous release, their harmonies are very strong when they are there. It is a strong single with a wonderful message. The production is on point with “Shake the Dust.” Each individual vocal performance is beautiful. I would have liked to have heard more harmonizing throughout the song though, like in their “God Made Me Right,” single. Still, the vocals and production are my favorite aspects of this release.
All in all, this is a strong song by an up and coming Nashville group. They continue to show why they are gaining popularity and fans in the process. If you are a fan of empowering music with awesome vocals, check out The Highway Women!

Jerrett Franklin grew up in a small town. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career. After writing for a few different artists in the area, he decided to branch out and give local music the spotlight. That is where the idea for Music On The Rox originated from. We are dedicated to shining a light on local music and giving a voice to those who aren’t being heard.
