Christmas is here. It is time to get ready to snuggle next to a fire and to spend time with your family. Scott Southworth just released a new track, “Maybe Next Year, Christmas,” does just that. It takes you back to a time when Country music sounded bluesy and actually told a story. No tricks, no gimmicks, just pure Country Music. This song basically reels you in and just breaks your heart, in the best way possible. Scott’s voice does a great job at telling this heartbreaking and beautiful story. The instrumentals on this song remind me of the Patsy Cline days. All in all, this is a strong and beautiful Christmas song. If you need a song to get you through the holiday season, this is it. Put this one on repeat this Holiday Season.

Jerrett Franklin grew up in a small town. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career. After writing for a few different artists in the area, he decided to branch out and give local music the spotlight. That is where the idea for Music On The Rox originated from. We are dedicated to shining a light on local music and giving a voice to those who aren’t being heard.
