We are back with our Sunday Funday Roundup. Check out the full tracks and reviews below!
TOMMY ASHBY | “Not That Far To Go”
Tommy Ashby’s last EP, Restless Love, garnered support from Fearne Cotton, Radio 2, Spotify editorial, Record of the Day and major global syncs for Grey’s Anatomy, Netflix’s The Innocents and NBC’s Midnight Texas to name a few. He just released a new track, “Not That Far To Go.” The energy of the song is good. I love the atmospheric sound of the track. It goes well with his voice. His vocals are made for this type of music. Definitely a strong start to our Sunday Funday Roundup. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Sam Short | “Taste It”
Sam Short just released a new track, “Taste It.” This song is definitely a vibe. The instrumentals are really well done and pair well with her vocals. She has such a great voice that just soars through the song. The build in the song is also compelling. Definitely a standout this week. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Jeremy Parsons | “Tickin”
San Antonio native, Jeremy Parsons just released a new track, “Tickin.” The new track is really well done. The heaviness of the instrumentals are compelling and go well with his voice. He has a voice that is made for this genre of music. He is a natural storyteller which is perfect for Country/Americana music. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Jerrett Franklin grew up in a small town. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career. After writing for a few different artists in the area, he decided to branch out and give local music the spotlight. That is where the idea for Music On The Rox originated from. We are dedicated to shining a light on local music and giving a voice to those who aren’t being heard.
