Kelly Clarkson is a mega Alanis Morissette fan, so who better to bring on The Kelly Clarkson Show to sing one of her greatest hits than Alanis Morissette herself?
During Morissette’s appearance on the show, the two discussed the emotions behind the alt-rock song “You Oughta Know.” Then, the two performed a stripped-down version of the song, with Clarkson harmonizing the high parts at the chorus.
They also performed some other hits, including, “Thank You,” “Hands Clean,” and “Ironic,” and “Uninvited,” which you can check out below!
While introducing the singer on the show, Clarkson told the audience that Morissette is one of her “favorite artists of all time.” She added, “You could probably tell when I sing, and that’s the reason why I’m a songwriter. I love her so much. I’m highly influenced by her.”
