Austin Taylor | “The Way”
Austin Taylor is an independent artist based in Nashville, Tennessee. He just released a new track, “The Way.” This is such a well done song. The track as a whole, has a very retro, 80’s vibe to it, which is perfectly nostalgic. His vocals are outstanding. He has one of those voices that cuts through the music and demands your attention. Absolutely stunning performance. He is a vocalist that you will need to keep an eye on in the future. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
MISSIO | “I Don’t Like When You’re Lonely”
MISSIO released their debut album, ‘Loner,’ via RCA Records in May of 2017. The genre-bending & eclectically dark duo from Austin, TX quickly landed a global radio hit with their first single ‘Middle Fingers’ debuting on Conan O’Brien’s late night show & reaching #9 on the Billboard Alternative Charts. As a result of their early success, the duo has since released four full length album’s garnering more than six #1’s on Sirius X.M. Alt-Nation with songs like ‘I See You,’ ‘Bottom of the Deep Blue Sea,’ & ‘Underground.’ MISSIO just released a new track, “I Don’t Like When You’re Lonely.” This is such a creative song. The different effects that are used throughout the backing track/instrumentals and even the vocals are super interesting. Vocally, they do a great job at telling the story of the song, all while never losing the essence of the song. Definitely a standout this week. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Christian Porter | “Ball + Chain”
The Voice, 2013 Contestant, Christian Porter just released a new track, “Ball + Chain.” This is more of an acoustic driven track, which forces his vocals to the forefront of the song. His voice is absolutely stunning. His tone and his delivery are both impressive. This is definitely the perfect song for Valentine’s Day. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Neon Dreams | “This Is It”
Neon Dreams spent their first few years pushing boundaries and experimenting with different musical styles, with which they achieved tremendous success. They just released a new track, “This Is It.” This song is such a feel good vibe. I absolutely love how upbeat the track is, even with the acoustic instrumentals at the beginning. Their vocals soar throughout the song and grab your attention. This is one of the catchiest tracks that I have covered. This is a perfect end to our Top Notch Tuesday playlist.
