About RVSHVD

From Willacoochee, GA, 25 year-old RVSHVD (pronounced RA-SHAD) started making music ten years ago. While listening to rap beats as a young teen, RVSHVD realized a new talent for songwriting. Crediting Lil Bow Wow as an early influence, he dug deeper into the power of songwriting; studying the pens of Lil Wayne, Eminem, and Tupac.

Across Genres

A self-taught R&B singer, RVSHVD jumped genres after hearing “Sweet Thing” by Keith Urban. Next came Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, George Strait, Alan Jackson, and Brooks & Dunn. He credits them all as ultimate musical influences. With the help of a signature vocal tone, his home studio, and a viral TikTok video, RVSHVD became nationally recognized for his country version of Roddy Ricch’s “Ballin”. The song went viral on Spotify, TikTok, Apple and YouTube amassing over 25M streams while uplifting his catalog of songs to over 100M streams.

With 1.2M followers on TikTok, 750k Monthly Listeners on Spotify, and over 150k YouTube Subscribers, his online fanbase continues to see substantial month over month growth. He currently is signed to The Penthouse South record label.

Review

RVSHVD just released a new track and music video for, “Hit Different.” The official music video, directed by Travis Knight, interweaves RVSHVD’s performances backed by “Que Dog” steppers from Alabama and various recording artists from country, rock, and rap who are all trailblazing their own individual paths or ‘hitting different’. The track is really well done. From the instrumentals to his vocals, it all works perfectly. Production is also top notch. Such a strong performance by an incredible artist. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
