We are back with our Notable Music Monday. Check out the full tracks and reviews below!

Jonah Kagen | “hill that i’ll die on”

Jonah Kagen is a multi-faceted artist with a deep and long-standing affinity for songwriting, performing, and producing. He began his music career with his very first guitar lesson at age 6, and has dedicated much of his life to the ongoing mastery of his craft. Jonah’s music first became popular in 2020 thanks to TikTok, which helped him to grow the loyal fan base that supports him to this day. He just released a new track, “hill that i’ll die on.” The track is really well done. The instrumentals are compelling and pair well with his vocals. He has one of those voices that cut through and demands attention. A great performance that deserves to be added to your playlists.

KSI | “Summer Is Over”

A pioneering YouTuber (fourth most followed channel for a British artist behind Ed Sheeran, One Direction and Adele) approaching 20 billion cumulative views, KSI’s 40.8 million subscribers know him as a creator, an artist, a mate who brings the passion (and the jokes) to whatever he does. He just released a new track, “Summer is Over.” This song is definitely a vibe. It is upbeat and puts his vocals at the forefront of the song. He has a great voice that deserves to be heard. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Hayley Warner | “You Were Once”

Hayley Warner just released a new track, “You Were Once.” The track is really well done. It is very upbeat but also showcases the vocals as well. Hayley has such a beautiful voice. It is refreshing that the vocals are at the front and center of the track and we can see them at full force. Such a beautiful performance. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Matt Nye | “Playa Escalator” feat Snoop Dogg and “Yesterdays”

Matt Nye teamed up with Snoop Dogg for their track, “Playa Escalator.” This is such a cool track. Both of their voices go really well together. They both feed off each other’s energy which is contagious. Definitely a cool vibe. Matt also released a new track, “Yesterday,” which you can check out below.

This is one of those tracks that’ll grab you for one of many reasons. Either you’ll get entranced by the feel good jazz-rap beat or you’ll want to hear more of his multilayered rhymes. The track is really well done. From the backing track to the vocals, to the production, it is on point. Make sure to add both of these tracks to your playlists.

ZERBIN | “Love and Emotion – Lv+Em=s∑∆”

Canada’s ZERBIN is known for transcendent Alt-Pop that has charted Top 20 and Top 40 on Canadian Radio with songs featured in countless Films, Commercials, and TV shows such as So You Think You Can Dance (FOX), MLB, NBA, and NFL spots, A Bigger Splash (Fox Searchlight), XBOX, Nestle, Castle (ABC), Killjoys, Station 19, and many more. He just released a new track, “Love and Emotion – Lv+Em=s∑∆.” This release has more of 80’s vibe, which is super refreshing. He has such a good voice, which is showcased throughout the entirety of the song. Definitely a standout this week. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Barrett Crake | “Run of the Human Race”

Electronic pop artist, Barrett Crake, is a testament to what the modern artist can accomplish if they are willing to put the work in. By making use of the internet and remote studios, he’s developed a network of collaborators all over the world without the help of a label or manager. He just released a new track, “Run of the Human Race.” This track is really well done. The instrumentals have an 80’s throwback feel to it, which is needed in today’s music. His voice is also pushed to the front which is important, considering how strong his voice is. Such a cool vibe. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

The American Indie | “Rendezvous”

The American Indie started out as a band that Dylan formed with his brother, Conner, and a college roommate. They played a bunch of shows from 2017-2020 and released an EP, after which, it turned into a solo endeavor. Since then, Dylan has dropped another EP and a single. Currently, he is finishing up his first album, set to release next year. They just released a new track, “Rendezvous.” This is such a catchy song. The energy is off the charts. The instrumentals are impressive and pair well with the vocals. I love how playful they are with their voices. The way they transition from full voice to head voice and back again, is impressive. The production is on point too. One of my favorites this year. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
