‘Emotionally’ was the result of ARCANA’s first songwriting session with the
international songwriting team Abstrct. Working for the first time with producer
Steve Vito, ARCANA wanted to craft something that not only appealed to listeners of dark-pop but had a gut-wrenching and spine-tingling twist. “Emotionally’ is about wondering if your partner is still emotionally attached to you when they start to pull away and become distant, and you’re just saying ‘break up with me already if you’re not into it,’” explains ARCANA.
“Emotionally,” is really well done. The track is really well produced. Shout out to Steve Vito, who I actually had the chance to meet at Durango Songwriters Expo earlier this year. The production is on point. Instrumentally, they are super strong. They compliment the vocals nicely and give ARCANA’s voice the time to shine. All in all, it is a really great track that should be added to your playlists.
