Two of the music industry’s biggest powerhouses have joined forces to drop a potential late-summer anthem. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars released their new single, “Die With a Smile,” along with its accompanying music video at midnight ET on Friday, August 15. Check It out below!
The musicians barely gave fans a heads up before unveiling the new project, the existence of which they only confirmed less than 12 hours ahead of its arrival. Gaga simply posted the cover art — which finds the duo posing in matching retro red-and-blue outfits — and wrote, “WHILE YOU WAIT TILL LG7…“DIE WITH A SMILE” a duet with @brunomars ❤️🔥”
It’s been some time since either artist has released new solo material. Lady Gaga’s last album, Chromatica, came out in 2020, while Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic is nearing its eight-year anniversary. Chromatica topped the Billboard 200, and 24K Magic reached No. 2.
Fortunately for fans, Lady Gaga is gearing up for a new album, which she’s hinted at multiple times on social media. She even shared snippets of two tracks from the upcoming project with fans outside her hotel in Paris, where she performed during the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony.
