We are back with our Tune in Thursday playlist. Check out the full tracks and reviews below!
Dimitri Vegas x Like Mike x Danna Paola x NE-YO | “Mexico”
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike teamed up with Ne-Yo and Danna Paola for a new track, “Mexico.” There is so much energy in this track. This is an incredible tune that’s as catchy as it is symbolically meaningful. A Mariachi band, multiple toplines from the features on the song, and a deep-tech house instrumental all falls in line to create the epic vibe that is at hand. Intoxicating and club-friendly all in the same go, this is a hybrid experience that works and feeling right from tip-to-tail. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Emdey x ADN Lewis | “She’s Like The Wind (Through My Tree)”
The DJ, producer and artist, Emdey aka Marvin Dörsam, from Hannover, Germany is definitely a rising star to watch out for on the global electronic music scene – he is already making positive moves forward. He teamed up with ADN Lewis for the track, “She’s Like The Wind (Through My Tree).” ADN, also known as the singer-songwriter/producer Adien Lewis, is best known for his eclectic covers and remixes. Emdey manages with “She’s Like The Wind (Through My Tree)”, to keep the 80’s-vibes and takes us back to one of the most iconic dance-movies of all the time: “Dirty Dancing.” With his own version of Patrick Swayze’s and Stacy Widelitz’s hit, the German DJ and producer Emdey gives the song a new and fresh look & feel. Adding in the vocals from ADN Lewis and we have sure fire hit for this summer. Again Emdey proves undoubtedly that he can take any classic and turn in to something fresh. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Kayden McCarthy | “Cruise Control”
We have previously featured Kayden McCarthy with his track, “My Carolina.” and “Vulnerable.” Now, he just released a new one, “Cruise Control.” This is such a well done track. The instrumentals are great and the melody is incredibly catchy. As stated previously, he has one of my favorite voices that I have heard in a long time. Seriously, he has a way of keeping the listener enthralled in his music. You will have this one on repeat for a while. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Jerrett Franklin grew up in a small town. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career. After writing for a few different artists in the area, he decided to branch out and give local music the spotlight. That is where the idea for Music On The Rox originated from. We are dedicated to shining a light on local music and giving a voice to those who aren’t being heard.
