Kelly Clarkson Fangirls Over Cher At Christmas Show

Kelly Clarkson was front and center when the Christmas spirit officially swept into New York City at the Rockefeller Tree Lighting on Wednesday night. And who else was there, dazzling the masses from the stage of the Radio City Music Hall rooftop? None other than the 77-year-old pop icon.
Cher managed to steal the spotlight from the 80-foot tree, kicking things off with her new holiday single, “DJ Play a Christmas Song.” Throughout the performance, the Christmas in Rockefeller Center broadcast continuously cut to Clarkson — the event’s host — who didn’t miss a beat, knowing every word to the yuletide bop and totally losing it.

“Oh my gosh, you guys,” Clarkson gushed afterward. “Cher just— she put out a Christmas jam, y’all! That song is so good! That is my favorite song in a very long time!”
The diva later joined forces with longtime friend Darlene Love for a duet of Love’s holiday classic “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” which is also featured on Cher’s new Christmas album. The tree lighting’s star-studded lineup also included musical guests Barry Manilow, Chloe Bailey, Keke Palmer, Liz Gillies, David Foster, and Katharine McPhee.
Kelly Clarkson also performed three of her Christmas hits. Check out some of the best photos by clicking here.
