Kelly Clarkson just proved that she is a Lainey Wilson super fan.
During a recent performance at her Las Vegas Residency, Clarkson demonstrated her affection for Wilson by taking on a rendition of Wilson’s popular track “Heart Like a Truck,” which is featured on her highly acclaimed album, Bell Bottom Country.
Prior to tackling the tune, Clarkson expressed her admiration for Wilson’s second album, which earned the title of ACM Album Of The Year.
“This next song that we’re going to do is a country song and I love this artist,” Clarkson told the crowd.
Clarkson added by saying, “I’m in love with her, I think she’s so cool and I am obsessed… I literally spent this summer at my ranch in Montana like I listened to this record nonstop… like I love not just the song… I’m sorry I’m old, I mean the whole album. I love this entire album and this was probably her biggest hit from that album so far. I really relate to it.”
On July 28, Clarkson kicked off her ten-date Las Vegas residency, named Chemistry…An Intimate Night With Kelly Clarkson, at the Bakkt Theater within the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
