We are back with our Tune in Thursday playlist. Check out the full tracks and reviews below!
Jordan Mitchell | “Stay”
Jordan Mitchell released, “Stay,” a couple years back. This is such a well done song. The instrumentals are compelling and pair well with his vocals. He has one of those voices that soars throughout the song and demands your attention. Such a refreshing track that you will have on repeat. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Rory Powers | “Stories”
We have been fans of Rory Powers while watching his gaming videos at IGN. He just recently released a new track, “Stories.” This is such an energetic song that puts Rory’s vocals at the forefront of the song. He does a great job at keeping up the energy of the song, all while showing off his vocal skills. This is one of my favorite tracks in recent weeks. Definitely a strong performance that deserves to be added to your playlists.
Moncrieff | “Perfect”
Irish singer-songwriter Moncrieff has released his heartfelt new single ‘Perfect’. Moncrieff’s soulful vocals soar over warm piano chords and subtle strings in this arena-ready ballad which showcases the Irish-born’s ability to write uplifting melodies that simultaneously pull at the heartstrings. He has one of those voices that just soars throughout the song. Such a beautiful performance. Speaking about the single, Moncrieff says: “Perfect is a very personal song for me about all those small moments in a relationship that make you realize that something isn’t as perfect as it once felt. It can be so hard to admit that something just isn’t right in a relationship and, despite your loyalty and care towards each other, sometimes good things come to an end.” Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Jo Hill | “COASTIN'”
Jo Hill is a singer/songwriter from Cheddar. Taking influence from Fleetwood Mac, Remi Wolf, Kasey Musgraves and Benee, her music is a combination of indie pop/rock/soul with a sweet smattering of country. This song has such a cool vibe. Has a more bedroom pop energy, which works perfectly with his vocals. The vocals are powerful and are at the front of the song. The harmonies are also on point. Definitely a strong performance that you will have on repeat. Make sure you add this one to your playlists.
Ladytron | “Faces”
Ladytron was formed in Liverpool in the late 90s and took their name from the gloriously blank Roxy Music track. They just released a new track, “Faces.” The new single is really well done. The throwback sound is extremely refreshing. The instrumentals/backing track pairs well with their vocals. Definitely a unique song that you will have on repeat. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Jerrett Franklin grew up in a small town. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career. After writing for a few different artists in the area, he decided to branch out and give local music the spotlight. That is where the idea for Music On The Rox originated from. We are dedicated to shining a light on local music and giving a voice to those who aren’t being heard.
