Stevie Howie just released a new track, “regrets.” Check out the full track and review below!
Background
Stevie Howie, a Nashville native now living in Los Angeles, has been playing piano since age 5 and writing music since he was 6. Originally, Stevie was a student of classical music, but as he became older, he grew a passion for rock, R&B, blues, and pop. Drawing inspiration from Fleetwood Mac, John Mayer, and Paramore, Stevie wrote music throughout his childhood, with his sights set to inspire and affect the world through his creations.
In September of 2021, Stevie posted a poll on his Instagram story asking his followers if they liked the band Nirvana. Upon overwhelming agreement, he decided to cover “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” Stevie recorded and posted a video of his cover to his 25 followers on TikTok, gaining over 1 million views and 25,000 followers. After many requests, he finished the song, releasing a full-length version to streaming platforms on October 29, 2021. Coincidentally, this was the first time that Stevie had decided to fully lean into his intuition as an artist.
As the inception to his artist project, (for which he writes, records, produces, mixes, and masters by himself), his first single, “shakes,” was released on December 3, 2021. In 2022, Stevie continues to deliver captivating rock tracks with his previous releases “stalker” and “crusader.” He just released a new track, “regrets,” which you can check out below!
Review
The new track is really well done. He has such a cool vocal presence and an energy that is unmatched. His vocals soar throughout the entire track. He has a way of bringing his audience in and leave them wanting more. He also has one of my favorite voices that I have had the pleasure of hearing since I started Music On The Rox. Definitely a standout performance. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
