Leanna Firestone | “You Just Didn’t Like Me That Much”
Leanna Firestone just released a new track, “You Just Didn’t Like Me That Much.” This is a catchy song that a lot of people are going to relate to. The backing instrumentals are compelling and pair well with her vocals. She has such a great voice, so it is good to hear it at the forefront of the song. Definitely a strong performance. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Ellise | “Black Balloons”
Ellise is a dynamic singer and songwriter born and raised in San Francisco, California. She quickly gained attention on social media in 2016, after posting videos of herself singing covers of well known hits on YouTube and Instagram. She just released a new track, “Black Balloons.” This song is definitely a vibe. It has a heavy sound to it, which suits her vocals perfectly. She has one of those voices that commands attention. It is a strong performance that deserves to be added to your playlists.
badxyou x 8485 | “Better”
badxyou is a musical trio who are “intentionally different and not afraid to push the limits.” Consisting of lead vocalist/songwriter Andy Gruhin, guitarist and video editor Ethan Heckard, and sound design and mixer Connor Gallihugh. They teamed up with 8485 for, “Better.” It is a really well done song. The instrumentals are very energetic and do a great job at setting up the vocals of the track. With a super catchy melody and strong vocals, this is a standout this week. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Mark Evich | “Pressure”
Mark Evich is a soul singer and sound producer, based in Los Angeles, CA. He just released a new track, “Pressure.” This is definitely one of my favorite tracks this week. I am a sucker for soul music and this is a perfect example of a genuinely good track. The instrumentals are great and pair well with is vocals. He has such a compelling voice that I just want to hear more of. This is one that you will have on repeat. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
senses | “sleepwalking”
Los Angeles trio ‘senses’ was formed in 2019 by Madison Taylor (vocals), Nick Sampson (drums), and Josh Bissell (guitar). They just released a new track, “sleepwalking.” The energy of this song is really contagious. It reminds me of the pop/punk music that I grew up listening to, which is coming back again. The instrumentals compliment the vocals beautifully. They do a great job at showcasing their vocals, all while never losing the energy of the song. Definitely a strong vocal performance that needs to be on your playlists.
GT_Office x Kastra | “Never Together (Kastra Remix)”
Miami Beach-based producer GT_Ofice has been making strides in his few short years in the Electronic Dance Music scene. GT has amassed over 17 million streams on Spotify and tons of international radio play. He teamed up with Kastra for a remix of his song, “Never Together.” This is such an energetic track. The production is on point and does a great job at showcasing the vocals of the song. Definitely a standout and a perfect way to end our New Release Friday – Side B.
