Dan + Shay is a local country duo. Shay has been bound and determined to make his mark as a songwriter in Nashville ever since his father brought him to town when he was eight and when he was 12-years-old. Dan is orginally from Wexford, Pennsylvania. Shay is from Natural Dam, Arkansas, but they met in Nashville in December 2012. It wasn’t until meeting Dan that Shay found someone who he naturally felt comfortable with when it came to songwriting, singing harmonies, recording and eventually performing live.
“19 You and Me,” was their first single released and it made it to number 11 on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart. Their single “Nothin Like You,” climbed all the way to number 1 in 2015. Their second album, Obsessed arrived in June 2016. The record debuted at eight on the Billboard charts thanks to the single “From the Ground Up,” which made it to number 1 on the Country Airplay Charts. This was quickly followed by a second chart-topper, “How Not To.” Here is their video for “From The Ground Up.”
Since then, they have had multiple hits, including “Tequila,” “Speechless,” and “10,000 Hours,” which he collaborated on with Justin Bieber. They have also worked with the legendary Kelly Clarkson, on their single, “Keeping Score.” They had the chance to perform with her at the 2019 ACM Awards. They are back with a new.
