“Brother Mine,” is an upbeat song that Tyler wrote about his brother that he lost in 2017. The message of the song is very nostalgic and inspirational as well. The instrumentals of this track are pretty impressive. Tyler does a great job at keeping the listener engaged throughout the song. The vocals pair very well with the instrumentals in the back. The range that he displays in “Brother Mine,” is nothing short of magical.
Tyler had a few things to say about writing “Brother Mine.” “My family and I have been through a lot the last couple years. I’ve learned a lot in this time. I could have written the dark, sad, lonely song, I have. But through these dark, sad and lonely times I have found light. I wanted to write something more positive and uplifting in tribute to my brother. So when writing this song I got very nostalgic and wrote about past memories and unforgettable moments Tristan and I shared. Although “Brother Mine” is written in my perspective looking back on Tristan and our time together, it’s more than that. I wrote it for all of my brothers, I wrote it for my friends that I call brothers. I wrote it for you who have brothers. Lastly I wrote about brotherhood and it’s unbreakable bond that all brothers share. When I wrote this song I knew I wanted to do something special with it.”
He continued, “I decided on a (Home Videos) Music Video that captures the life of my brother Tristan Miller who passed away 11/12/17. I didn’t want anything professional. I wanted to keep it raw and vintage and the Home Videos did just that.” Check out the official video below!
