Kellye Rather | “The Mess I Made”

Kellye Rather is back with her new single “The Mess I Made.” You may remember her from the last review that we did for her single, “Bad Boy”. This song is a slower song about owning your mistakes from the past and growing from them. To start off, the vocals and instrumentals are on point. They go very well together. Her voice is just soft enough in this song to really tug at your heartstrings.
Kellye does a great job at telling her own story here. She really makes you feel how heartbroken she is and the pain that she has gone through. I feel like a lot of people would be able to relate to her in this song. If you have gone through a hard time, or have caused someone to go through a tough time, it is good to own your mistakes and learn from them. That is the message that I am getting from “The Mess I Made.
All in all, this is another great release from an up and coming Nashville artist.

Jerrett Franklin grew up in a small town. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career. After writing for a few different artists in the area, he decided to branch out and give local music the spotlight. That is where the idea for Music On The Rox originated from. We are dedicated to shining a light on local music and giving a voice to those who aren’t being heard.
