Bailey Hefley is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas but moved to Nashville in 2012. She attended Belmont University from 2009-2010 and finished up her degree at the University of Arkansas from 2010-2012. After moving to Nashville, she has shared her songs at writers’ rounds and opened for artists including Old Dominion, Ashley McBryde, Deana Carter, and Justin Moore. We have previously featured, “Forever 20 Something,” and “Gotta Find Out.”
Bailey is back with her new song, “Yesterday’s Makeup,” which is a Pop/Country crossover hit. This is such a catchy song that features some pretty impressive vocals. Just like in her previous releases, her vocals are absolutely mesmerizing. Even in this single, she still is giving me Taylor Swift vibes, which is a huge compliment. Lyrically, “Yesterday’s Makeup,” is cleverly written.
Bailey just keeps popping out hit after hit. Her vocals are really the standout in this release. It would be interesting to hear her vocals in a slower ballad. Hopefully that is something that we can look forward to in the future because she has a voice that needs to be heard. “Yesterday’s Makeup,” is available on all major streaming platforms.
Jerrett Franklin grew up in a small town. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career. After writing for a few different artists in the area, he decided to branch out and give local music the spotlight. That is where the idea for Music On The Rox originated from. We are dedicated to shining a light on local music and giving a voice to those who aren’t being heard.
