The 53rd Daytime Emmy nominations came out on Tuesday, July 14, and “The Kelly Clarkson Show” walked away with the biggest haul of any talk show on the list. Eleven nominations in total, landing right as the show wraps up its seventh and final season.

Clarkson herself picked up nods for both Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host, keeping a streak alive that’s run since the show’s very first season back in 2019. She’s already taken home the trophy in each of those categories four separate times, and this is her last shot at adding to that total before the show closes out for good. She’s up against a stacked field too: “The View” scored nominations in both talk categories as well, and the host race also includes Jennifer Hudson, Tamron Hall, and Sherri Shepherd. Rounding out the series category are “Live with Kelly and Mark,” “The Drew Barrymore Show,” and two branches of “Today,” the “3rd Hour of Today” and “Today With Jenna & Friends.”

Clarkson found out about the nominations while rehearsing in Las Vegas and didn’t waste any time celebrating on Instagram, telling fans she was “so stoked for our whole team” and thanking everyone who helped get the show there. It’s a fitting sendoff for a run that’s now pulled in 24 Daytime Emmys total since the show first premiered.

The decision to end the show wasn’t about ratings or burnout, it came down to family. Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, passed away from cancer in August 2025 at age 48, and she’s said stepping back from the daily grind of a talk show was necessary to focus on their two kids, River and Remington. She’s not disappearing from television entirely, though, she’s staying on as a coach for the upcoming season of “The Voice” alongside John Legend and Adam Levine, and she’s continuing to make and perform music on her own as well.

The 53rd Daytime Emmy Awards will air October 30 from the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, giving Clarkson and her team one more chance to send “The Kelly Clarkson Show” off with some hardware.
