BROK is an independent UK rock band fusing heavy alternative rock with gritty, soul-cleaving blues. The band is fronted by Nick “Papi Brok” Brokenshire on lead vocals and guitar, a Scotland-raised storyteller who’s also an accomplished comic book artist with credits on Star Wars titles for both Dark Horse and IDW. He’s joined by Jessal “El Trasero” Chudasama on bass and Rick “Breaker” Gallagher on drums, a rhythm section known for its precision low end and notoriously loud live presence. Together, the trio describes their sound as an alloy of rock and roll, built on massive beats, twisted arrangements, and highly energetic performances designed to shake audiences out of digital apathy. New single “Liar,”is their latest showcase of that identity.
Liar
“Liar” delivers exactly the kind of raw, uncompromising energy BROK has built its reputation on, blending heavy alternative riffs with bluesy undertones and a groove built to get a physical reaction out of anyone listening. Rather than chasing polish, the track leans into attitude, hard-hitting and direct, with Brokenshire’s storytelling instincts as a songwriter coming through in lyrics that cut straight to the point. Chudasama’s bass work anchors the track’s low end with real precision, giving the song its signature groove, while Gallagher’s drumming supplies a thunderous, foundational backbone that keeps the whole thing feeling live and immediate even on record. It’s a track built for volume, the kind of song meant to cut through digital-age noise and remind listeners what genuinely visceral rock music feels like.
Final Thoughts
“Liar” is a hard-hitting, no-nonsense single from a band clearly committed to keeping real rock and roll loud and unfiltered, and it’s a strong continuation of BROK’s growing reputation on the UK circuit. It’s available now on major streaming platforms. Follow BROK on Instagram and Facebook.
