Spanish art-pop and experimental pop project Sehore is gearing up to release its new single, “IA,” on September 16th, the first taste of the band’s upcoming third album following 2025’s Ladencia and Husfikbur. Sehore has built a fast-growing reputation since emerging that year, picking up a Silver Medal at the Global Music Awards 2025 for “Pesadilla,” from Ladencia, and a Bronze Medal at the same awards for “Bla bla bla (cha cha cha),” from Husfikbur, quickly staking a claim among fans of genre-blending, idea-driven pop.
About “IA”
“IA” is built around a 5/4 time signature, with the rhythm constantly reshuffling its internal groupings of five (3+2, 2+3, 4+1, and so on) to create a pulse that never quite settles. That instability is intentional. The song’s lyrical concept looks at people who display fewer human qualities than Turing’s machine, and the shifting, fragmented rhythm mirrors that idea directly. The forthcoming album continues to lean into contrasts of consonance and dissonance, built from kitsch elements and miniature structural forms that have become a signature of Sehore’s sound. The single was recorded in 2026 at Paco Loco Studio and mastered by Mario G. Alberni at Kadifornia, continuing the same production pairing behind Sehore’s first two albums.
