Zach Tabori Releases New Album, ‘Attack Of The Clout Chasers’

Singer/Songwriter Zach Tabori just released a brand new album, Attack Of The Clout Chasers. Check out the full tracks and review below!

About Zach Tabori

Zach Tabori’s track record is just as wild and wide-ranging as his creative mind. He co-wrote and played guitar on Jaden Smith’s “Fire Dept.” and “K” from ERYS, and even composed and performed an ambitious eight-part orchestral suite for “ICE AS FROZEN WATER.” Coming up in June, he’s set to take the stage with Dweezil Zappa and the Dutch Metropole Orchestra for a one-of-a-kind concert featuring rare Frank Zappa material—brought to life with full orchestral arrangements for the first time.

Tabori’s journey with music started young—he picked up the guitar at 10, and by 11, he was already working his first industry gig, making coffee at a jingle studio. It didn’t take long for someone to notice his talent. A composer realized he could play multiple instruments, and soon Tabori was jumping in on projects, laying down bass lines and drum parts. Before long, he had a reputation around L.A. as a go-to session player, arranger, and producer—and he’ll be the first to tell you he’s down for anything, as long as it means making music.

Behind The Album

With Attack of the Clout Chasers, he dives headfirst into his boldest and most ambitious project yet. This genre-defying concept album takes a raw, unflinching look at today’s chaotic culture, tearing it apart and reassembling it through an experimental lens that mixes biting satire, sci-fi influences, and sharp social commentary. It’s a wild ride—full of unexpected twists and turns—that refuses to play by any conventional rules. Weird, provocative, and unapologetically original, the album challenges listeners to confront the madness of the modern world while keeping them hooked with its inventive soundscapes and fearless creativity.

Rotten, Pt. 2

“Rotten, PT. 2” draws you in softly, with delicate acoustic guitar and vocals that feel like a quiet confession from someone slowly unraveling inside. There’s a tenderness to it, but also a haunting quality that lingers long after the song ends. As an opener, it sets the tone perfectly for the rest of the album—intimate, raw, and deeply creative—inviting listeners to step into an emotional world that’s both fragile and compelling.

Nann Ray

“Nann Ray” unfolds like a sprawling, cinematic sonic collage, painting a vivid picture of a post-apocalyptic sci-fi saga. It begins with the tense, haunting atmosphere of a World War III scenario, then takes an unexpected turn into the realm of interdimensional invasion—blending the familiar with the otherworldly. The track pulses with energy and bursts with creativity, layering sounds and textures that keep you hooked from start to finish. It’s a thrilling, unpredictable journey that showcases the artist’s ability to craft complex, immersive soundscapes that go far beyond traditional genre boundaries.

…In A Thin White Shirt

This song dives headfirst into the complexities of performative masculinity, unpacking it with sharp insight and a touch of wit. It strikes a careful balance between being brilliantly thought-provoking and intentionally provocative, challenging listeners to confront uncomfortable truths. Blending dark comedy with a deep cultural analysis, the track manages to be both entertaining and incisive, using humor and critique to shine a light on the ways masculinity is often performed rather than genuinely felt.

Jazz To Showcase Our Musicianship

Then there’s “Jazz to Showcase Our Musicianship,” which, true to its name, delivers exactly what it says on the tin. This track is pure jazz, but not just any jazz—it’s a bold, confident display of skill and style, with every note crafted to highlight the band’s technical prowess. You can practically feel the swagger oozing from the performance, like they’re daring you to keep up. It’s impressive without feeling overdone, striking the perfect balance between virtuosity and groove. After this whirlwind of musicianship, the track also serves as a well-timed breather—a carefully composed instrumental that soothes and steadies the listener’s nerves before the album dives into more intense territory.

JFK

This is the album’s incendiary lead single, which confronts American legacy with a sharp historical scalpel, examining Joseph Kennedy’s quiet sympathies for the Third Reich. “When you examine the scope of Joe Kennedy’s behind-the-scenes wheeling and dealing,” says Tabori, “it’s kinda ridiculous how much is truly left out in most depictions of his family legacy. He really lived the American Dream.”

The track mixes a catchy, looping melody with sharp satire, calling out the gap between political power players and the real-world impact their choices have on everyday people.

Taliban Boogie

“Taliban Boogie” manages to balance two very different worlds—a deep, groove-driven jam that gets under your skin and a sharp, no-holds-barred critique of the military-industrial complex. The track thrives on its chaotic energy, mixing complex rhythms with biting lyrics that challenge the listener to think beyond the surface. It’s clever and unpredictable, layering musical intensity with pointed commentary that only grows more powerful with each listen. There’s a restless, urgent quality to it that refuses to let up, making it one of the album’s most memorable and thought-provoking moments.

NYC

“NYC” offers a sharp and witty look at the city’s many contradictions, blending affection with a healthy dose of skepticism. It feels like the perspective of someone who’s both drawn to the city’s vibrant energy and frustrated by its darker sides—the gentrification that erases neighborhoods, the influencer culture that blurs authenticity, and the endless stories about New York’s supposed specialness that often feel more myth than reality. Musically, Tabori doesn’t settle into any one genre here. Instead, he layers jazzy funk grooves with theatrical, almost cinematic vocals, and throws in sudden tempo shifts that mirror the city’s unpredictable, nonstop pace. The result is a song that feels chaotic and relentless—just like New York itself, full of beauty and tension, excitement and exhaustion, all at once.

“VANITÉ OU LA MORT”

This track stands as the powerful culmination of the album’s core themes, bringing to life a fierce clash where ideas, personal identity, and pride all collide. It’s like a sonic war zone, breaking free of any single genre and blending styles in a dynamic, almost chaotic dance that captures the intense struggles beneath the surface. The music feels both confrontational and mesmerizing, reflecting the messy, tangled conflicts at the heart of the record.

Let’s Get Sick Together

There’s a lot going on in this song, making it tricky to pinpoint exactly what’s happening at any given moment. It’s complex, energetic, and unlike anything else—an intricate blend of sounds and ideas that somehow comes together perfectly here, adding the right kind of intensity and depth to this stage of the album.

End of the Fucking World

And then there’s “End Of The Fucking World,” a track so over-the-top it might legally qualify as an opera. Naturally, it includes a ballet—because why wouldn’t it? Adding a surprising and haunting visual layer to the project, the single is paired with a captivating ballet music video that brings the music’s emotion and intensity to life in a whole new way.
