Ronald Hage has spent the time since 2025 steadily building his own musical identity, gradually reaching more listeners and radio stations along the way. His new single, “Don’t Wanna Lose This,” blends melodic techno, progressive house, and trance into an energetic, modern-sounding track that shows off just how versatile his sound has become.
Don’t Wanna Lose This
The track works on two distinct sonic layers that play against each other well. Underneath, an acidic, almost harsh texture gives the track a curiously dark, mechanically rigid foundation, immediately grabbing the listener’s attention with its stiffness. Up top, though, a more open and expansive melodic layer runs in parallel, still fully digital in character but noticeably cooler and less sensual than the harder textures below it, giving the whole track a distinctly clinical, precise atmosphere. That contrast carries into the vocal performance too, introspective and slightly numbing, with a raspy, melodic delivery that leaves plenty of room for the listener to sink into the track’s atmosphere, hinting at prog house influence along the way. As the song develops, a softly textured synthetic hi-hat deepens its intimacy and sense of laid-back drift, while the production stays fluid and undeniably smooth throughout. Sharp, biting synthesizers eventually give way to the drop, where the beat locks into a firm, sequential techno pulse that pushes the track into genuinely danceable territory.
