New Release Friday

We are back with some new music for New Release Friday – Side B. Check out the full tracks and reviews below!

The Higher | “Free Ride”

The Higher just released a new track, “The Higher.” The new track is really well done. The instrumentals are super cool and compliment the vocals perfectly. Their vocals are pushed to the foreground of the song, which is smart considering how strong the vocals are. All in all, it is a strong performance that deserves multiple listens. Definitely one that should be added to your playlists.

Anarbor feat Sammy Adams | “Emergency”

Phoenix, Arizona based alternative rock band, Anarbor was formed in 2003 while the members were still in junior school. After signing with Hopeless Records in 2008, Anarbor found mainstream successes providing theme’s for Cartoon Network’s “Scooby Doo! The Mystery Begins”, ESPN’s SportsCenter, Good Day L.A. and MLB Network Countdown. Along with relentless touring in the United States, Anarbor have appeared in Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. While partnering with Hopeless Records, they released two E.P.’s and two full length studio albums. Anarbor and Sammy Adams just released a new track, “Emergency.” The new track is really well done. It has a punk rock feel to it, which is refreshing. The instrumentals are impressive and compliment the vocals beautifully. It is really cool that they get to experiment with the vocals/instrumentals and still come out with such a great piece of work. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Kid Travis | “Take From Me”

We have previously featured KID TRAVIS. Now he is back again with a new track, “Take From Me.” This is such an upbeat track that kicks up the energy and never lets up. The backing track is really compelling and compliment his vocals really well. He has smooth voice and he gets to show it off throughout the track. Definitely one that you should watch out for. Make sure to add these to your playlists.

Darro | “Burned So Bright”

Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Asian-American artist Darro is fusing together the strongest and catchiest elements of early 2000s emo and pop-punk to form his own hybrid subgenre of alternative anthems. Darro just released a new track, “Burned So Bright.” The instrumentals are really compelling. It has such a smooth vibe to it, which is perfect for his voice. He has such a strong voice that almost demands to be put at the forefront of the song. Definitely a standout performance this week. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Dance Yourself Clean | “Peach Pit”

Dance Yourself Clean started in Seattle (2013) as an indie dance party that grew into the first touring dance party in North America. After moving to Los Angeles to expand the party and create their own record label (Lights & Music Collective) and producing for other artists for years, “DYC” decided to turn their party into a music project. Releasing original music and remixes using the party’s moniker “Dance Yourself Clean”. We previously featured Dance Yourself Clean a couple days ago. Now they are back with a new track, “Peach Pit.” The new single has a retro feel to it, which is refreshing. They do a great job at keeping up the energy of the song, all while showing off the vocals of the track. All in all, it is a strong performance that deserves to be added to your playlists.
