New Release Friday

We are back with our New Release Friday playlist. Check out the new tracks and reviews below!

Amy Stroup | “A New Life” – (Jill James Cover)

Nashville based singer-songwriter Amy Stroup crafts the kind of songs that transport listeners with rich, emotional honesty and simple lyrics. If you have streamed a show on a major network or streaming service lately you have no doubt heard her songs in dozens of television shows, including This Is Us, Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Doctor, and The Walking Dead. She just released her version of, “A New Life.” The new track is really well done. It has an atmospheric vibe to it, which is beautiful. This vibe suits her voice perfectly. Definitely one of my favorites this week. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Lindsay Liebro | “Coincidence”

Coincidence is 18-year-old Pittsburgh native Lindsay’s Liebro’s first single since her independently released Wasted Potential went viral on TikTok last fall after being mistaken for an unreleased Taylor Swift track. Now with 60,000 monthly listeners and a contract with Dance Cry Dance records, Lindsay has moved to Nashville to study music at Belmont University and begun work on her debut album set for release in 2023. She just released a new track, “Coincidence.” Is it a ‘Coicidence,’ that we love this song? Nope. It is very energetic, all while showing up her vocal power. All in all, this is a great performance that shouldn’t be missed. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Advide x Waliant | “Enemies”

Advide and Waliant just released a new track, “Enemies.” First off, what an energetic track. The backing track/instrumentals has a heavy feel and pairs well with the vocals. The production is on point as well. The vocals are absolutely stunning. The way he does vocal gymnastics throughout the track is admirable. One of the stronger songs that I have featured recently. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Palm Skies | “Notice”

Palm Skies just released a new single off of their new album, “Distance.” This group is insanely talented. Right when it starts, it draws you in with the subtle instrumentals. Then the vocals start and the song takes off. The vocals are beautiful. Their tone and range are absolutely impressive. A strong vocal performance that deserves to be added to your playlists.

PHNTMS | “Rather Be Lonely”

PHNTMS is a female fronted pop/rock band. They just did an EP with Courtney Ballard (All Time Low, 5 Seconds to Summer, Jessie J, Grayscale). Sitting between arena rock and the classic sound of 60’s soul singers, Philadelphia and Los Angeles based band PHNTMS create rock music bursting with vast soundscapes and soulful vocals. They just released a new track, “Rather Be Lonely.” They have one of my favorite sounds. The indie pop/punk vibe is really cool and refreshing. Those vocals are something else though. They do a great job at showing off their vocal range, all while never losing the energy of the song. One of my favorite songs that I have listened to this year. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Darius & Finlay x Paul Keen x Bastiqe | “Tonight”

Darius & Finlay teamed up with Paul Keen and Bastiqe for a new single, “Tonight.” Are you ready to dance? This track is going to get you up and ready to take on the day. It is cool when an artist can make something so energetic, while never sacrificing the vocals. That is exactly what they did here in, “Tonight.” That production is insane too. This song has everything you need to make it through your day. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

SAM TOMPKINS | “Lose It All”

UK-based artist, Sam Tompkins has released his new single, “Lose It All”. Sam’s “Lose It All” is another example of really well done pop music. The beautifully produced single has a modern sound, and it should help launch him to the top of the Pop Charts. He has one of those voices that you just can’t turn away from. His range and his tone is absolutely incredible. He is such a strong vocalist, that I could listen to him sing anything. One of my favorites in recent memory. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Caleb Hearn | “Believe It When I See It”

North Carolina-born and Nashville-based singer/songwriter, Caleb Hearn, imparts an intimate level of detail upon his music. Lyrics double as snapshots of unfiltered, candid conversations usually never meant to be shared on this scale—yet he shares them. This approach has cemented him as a rising phenomenon with nearly 100 million streams and 1.4M+ TikTok fans, as well as acclaim from the likes of American Songwriter and many others. He just released a new single, “Believe It When I See It,” off his new EP, “We’re Getting Older.” I have a soft spot for singer/songwriter songs. This new single stood out because of how raw it is. It pulls at your emotion and never lets you go. His voice is so smooth and has a tone that can’t be taught. All in all, it is the perfect way to end our New Release Friday playlist this week. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
