New Release Friday

We are back with New Release Friday – Side B. Check out the full tracks and reviews below!

Lily Lane | “How Do You Sleep”

Lily Lane was undoubtedly born to entertain. Originally from Boston, the now Los Angeles based pop artist stems from a musical family, with her older brother being 1/2 of the multi-Grammy nominated duo, Sofi Tukker. Having spent most of her adult years living in New York, Lane studied at the renowned Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU with friends Fletcher, Topaz Jones and Maggie Rogers and after graduating with honors she went on to sign with Wilhelmina Models in the curve division, becoming a champion for body positivity, female & LGBTQ representation. Lily Lane just released a new track, “How Do You Sleep.” She has such a great voice. It is put at the forefront of the track, which is smart, considering how strong it is. Such a great performance that deserves to be added to your playlists.

LUMRY | “Back to Life”

LUMRY is a female artist from Germany singing about self love and feminism. She just released a new track, “Back to Life.” The backing track/instrumentals are very minimal but works with her voice. She has a beautiful voice. Her tone is something that can’t be taught. It is absolutely impressive. Definitely a standout this week. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Juliander | “We”

Juliander is a Swedish artist, songwriter and producer releasing music consisting of strong and emotional vocals combined with personal lyrics and beautiful melodies. He just released a new track, “We.” I can’t get over his voice. I could leave the review at that, but there’s not much more to say about it. He has such a great voice that almost demands your attention. One of my favorite releases in recent memory. Absolutely breathtaking. Needless to say, “WE” love it. Give this one an add to your playlists.

Felicia Lu | “Band-Aid”

Felicia Lu is a 26 year-old singer/songwriter from Germany, now based in Vienna, Austria. She just released a new track, “Band-Aid.” This is such a well done track. The instrumentals are good. The standout here are the vocals though. She has a powerful voice. She does a great job at showing off her versatility, all while never losing the energy of the track. A really cool track that needs to be added to your playlists. Check it out.

Adam Evans | “HYPOTHETICALLY”

New kid on the block, Adam Evans, is already creating a buzz in the rising pop scene. Born in Suffolk, the 20 year old openly bisexual artist now lives in London where he studies Popular Music Performance at BIMM. He just released a new track, “HYPOTHETICALLY.” This is such a catchy song. Seriously, since listening to it, I have been singing, “HYPOTHETICALLY,” just randomly throughout the day. Such a infectious and energetic track. This could easily be on the radio tomorrow. Give this one an add to your playlists.

KID TRAVIS | “MID SEPTEMBER”

We have featured KID TRAVIS quite a few times. Now, he is back with a new track, “MID SEPTEMBER.” This one is a different sound than he usually has, but this one works too. This just shows that he is an artist with a ton of versatility. This one is more of an acoustic feel but also puts his voice on display. He has such a great voice, which is evident by his vocal gymnastics. Make sure to give this one an add to your playlists.

Yam Haus | “Making Out In Cars”

Yam Haus invites everyone into the embrace of their neon-hued, dance floor-tailored alternative pop. The Minneapolis quartet, Lars Pruitt [lead vocals], Jake Felstow [drums], Zach Beinlich [bass], and Seth Blum [guitar], fuse together intimate song craft with stadium-size ambition. They just released a new track, “Making Out In Cars.” This is a perfect song to end of New Release Friday playlists. The energy of the track is super intense. It is really cool when an artist/group can still show off their vocals, all while never losing the essence of the song. That is exactly what Yam Haus has done here. A really cool track that deserves to be added to all of the playlists. Check it out.
