Nick Kandler | “Good Life”
Emerging artist & producer Nick Kandler from Los Angeles, CA spent the entirety of 2021 developing and recording his latest body of work. He just released a new track, “Good Life.” What a strong start to our New Music Friday playlist. The instrumentals are compelling and pairs well with his vocals. He has one of those voices that takes you on a journey you never want to end. One of my favorite vocal performances in recent memory. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Weston Estate | “Where Do We Go”
Named in jest for an affluent neighborhood adjacent to their hometown of Cary, North Carolina, Weston Estate is an alluring anomaly. Members Srikar Nanduri (guitar), Manas Panchavati (vocals), Tanmay Joshi (vocals), Abhi Manhass (production, bass), and Marco Luka (vocals) are five best friends whose descriptions of each other range from “epicurean dumbass,” “nicest guy you’ll ever meet,” to “a Spongebob character.” All of Indian descent with the exception of Marco who is first generation Cuban-American, they’ve tapped into their cultural influences, eclectic range of personalities and individual tastes to carve out a new space entirely of their own. They just released a new track, “Where Do We Go.” This is a beautiful song. The instrumentals are minimal at the beginning which gives their vocals the spotlight. They do a great job at showing off their vocals, all while telling the story of the song. Definitely a strong performance that deserves to be added to your playlists.
Estella Dawn | “Cotton Candy”
Estella Dawn is becoming known for her unwavering confidence and boldly passionate delivery. Her music has proven a force to be reckoned with – her style knows no limits, and across the globe her growing audience is celebrating that quality. Divinely striking vocals carve out a fiercely distinct identity, as this creative powerhouse continues to raise the bar for the future of modern pop. We have previously featured Estella with some of her other singles. Now, she is back with a new track, “Cotton Candy.” There is so much energy in this track. She has one of my favorite voices and it is on full display here. Absolutely stunning performance. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Dax | “QUIET STORM” – Remix
We have featured Dax a few times. Now he is back with a new track, “QUIET STORM,” – Remix. With almost 3 million Monthly Listeners on Spotify, it is evident why Dax is so popular. The energy is has a deeper feel, which is perfect for his vocals. They pair really well together. He also has a really smooth flow, which is important for this genre. He has one of those voices that cuts through the song and leaves you wanting more. Another standout performance and music video. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
