New Release Friday is back with some new tracks and reviews. Check out the full tracks and reviews below!
The Collection | “Rose Colored Glasses”
The Collection derives an inimitable musical language from the unbreakable bond between its members. Fronted by David Wimbish, the Saxapahaw, NC-based band places just as much emphasis on interpersonal community and relationships as it does on the music itself. They just released a new track, “Rose Colored Glasses.” I absolutely love the vibe of the song. The instrumentals are beautiful and set the vocals up to soar throughout the song. Such a strong performance that needs to be added to your playlists.
Taylor DeBlock | “Last Christmas”
Born 1994 in Norwalk, Connecticut, Taylor DeBlock found his passion for music at the age of 13. He just released his version of the Wham! Christmas Classic, “Last Christmas.” This is such a cool version of an already well known song. The instrumentals are compelling and pair well with his vocals. He has one of those voices that stand out and demands your attention. One of my favorite versions of this song. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.
Mathew V | “Dancing in the Sky”
After 10 years of classical operatic vocal training, Mathew V moved to London, England at the age of 17 to teach himself how to write pop music. Now only 22, Mathew has accomplished a lot since returning home to Vancouver. He just released his version of the Dani and Lizzy single, “Dancing in the Sky.” This is such a beautiful song. I love how his voice resonates with the lyrics of the song. His voice is made for this kind of music. Definitely a strong performance to end our New Release Friday. Make sure to add this one to your playlists.

Jerrett Franklin grew up in a small town. He moved to Nashville to pursue a music career. After writing for a few different artists in the area, he decided to branch out and give local music the spotlight. That is where the idea for Music On The Rox originated from. We are dedicated to shining a light on local music and giving a voice to those who aren’t being heard.
